Learn the fundamental steps, a basic repertoire of moves, and how to connect with a partner. Get started the right way learning from a variety of curated dance instructors! No experience needed.
You will be surrounded by other beginners like you during the classes, and then you will have the chance to dance with more experienced forrozeiros during the parties.

The Forró New York Weekend welcomes you with open arms. We offer beginner-friendly classes to introduce you to the world of forró.
Immerse yourself in approximately 20 hours of cultural activities.
Join our beginner dance workshops, where experienced instructors will teach you the basics of Forró, so you can confidently join in the dance festivities.
This event is the perfect opportunity to start your forró journey, make new friends, and discover the vibrant Brazilian culture through dance.
