On October 29, 2026, Forró New York will be joining Columbia University for a special two-hour workshop introducing participants to Brazilian forró through dance, rhythm, music, and cultural exchange.
Led by Rafael Piccolotto de Lima, founder and educational director of Forró New York, the workshop will explore the foundations of forró as a Brazilian social dance, emphasizing musicality, movement, partner connection, and the joy of dancing together.
