Join us for a special edition of Forrós em Palavras — a project that expands the world of forró through the expressivity and freedom of jazz, and the rich textures of a large ensemble.

This project celebrates the authentic energy of forró — its rhythm, pulse, and danceable drive — while exploring new musical colors inspired by jazz and chamber music traditions. The result is a vibrant soundscape that keeps the dance floor alive and, at the same time, offers a fresh and engaging experience for jazz and Latin jazz listeners.

After performances in cities across the Americas — from the U.S. to Canada and Brazil — Forrós em Palavras now comes to Shapeshifter Lab for the very first time. This four-hour event combines the concert with a forró DJ set, creating space for both listening and dancing throughout the evening.
